Promoting active mobility and climate action in African cities

This publication draws on the experience of six Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans in Dakar, Douala, Yaoundé, Dire Dawa, Bouaké and Antananarivo.

It highlights lessons learned and practical recommendations to help African cities promote walking and cycling, improve road safety, strengthen climate action, and plan more inclusive, low-carbon and resilient urban mobility systems.
