MobiliseYourCity Partnership
Rapid urbanisation and growing travel demand are creating significant mobility, safety and climate challenges in African cities. Promoting active modes of transport, particularly walking and cycling, is a key lever to improve urban liveability while reducing emissions. This publication presents six practical recommendations drawn from the capitalisation of six Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) supported by the MobiliseYourCity Partnership, offering concrete guidance to support the implementation of active mobility and climate-friendly actions in African cities.
