The second session of the Mastering Mobility Training Series was dedicated to the topic of Finance, featuring four expert speakers from the world of Climate Finance.
In this training, a combination of guest speakers from international lending institutions and MobiliseYourCity partners speak about the access to finance resources and the criteria for creating bankable projects in the scope of a SUMP.
Ian Jennings from the EBRD presents the Bank's financing mechanisms for sustainable transport and shows how the specific case of Pristina used the SUMP to leverage investment for electric buses. Sasank Vemuri, coordinator of the MobiliseYourCity Partnership introduces the basic concepts of finance and bankability criteria, Mathieu Verdure from the AFD explains the articulation and potential of finance-related steps in the SUMP planning cycle lastly, Kristina Eisele from the EIB presents the newly opened City Climate Finance Gap Fund.
