COP31 will bring governments, international organisations, civil society and other stakeholders together for the annual United Nations climate negotiations. Transport is increasingly central to discussions on decarbonisation, climate finance, nationally determined contributions and the implementation of the Paris Agreement. The conference provides an important platform for highlighting the role of sustainable urban mobility in achieving climate goals. Numerous side events and initiatives also bring together cities, development partners and transport organisations working on climate-compatible mobility.
