CIFRRiCA 2025
Senghor University in Alexandria, Bibliotheca Alexandrina (New library of Alexandria) (Egypt), Resallience and the French Association for the Prevention of Natural and Technological Disasters (France) are organising an international conference and call for papers on climate change resilience in Africa (CIFRRiCA 2025) from February 24 to 26, 2025. This conference aims to be a leading forum for discussing the progress of research into the resilience and adaptation of communities, infrastructures, and territories in Africa to climate change.
The aim is to bring together different stakeholders, including professionals, policymakers, researchers, and academics from around the world, to collaborate, learn, and connect science, communities, and policy to support effective resilience building.
Beyond assessing climate vulnerability and risk, this conference also aims to address the challenges of accelerating and scaling up innovative adaptation solutions, climate financing and the emerging role of open science, while highlighting societal and political considerations.
The theme of this first edition is « Building resilience in Africa to climate change-related loss and damage: challenges, innovations and opportunities« .
It will be held from February 24 to 26, 2025 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Senghor University in Alexandria, Egypt.
