1.Description
Since its inception in 2016, the MobiliseYourCity Partnership has been a leading force in disseminating Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) worldwide. Responding to specific urban mobility challenges in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America, the Partnership has adapted the SUMP methodology. Based on the European 'Guidelines for developing and implementing a SUMP, the publication Developing Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans brings together European knowledge in sustainable urban mobility planning and insights and lessons learned from its practical implementation in MobiliseYourCity geographies.
In this training session, we will explore the basic concepts of sustainable urban mobility, the SUMP cycle together with its phases and steps, the MobiliseYourCity implications for the core SUMP principles, and the main features of a modern and sustainable urban mobility system. This session will further elaborate in the adaptation of the SUMP concept in Asian cities, showcasing the specificities of MobiliseYourCity-supported SUMPs in the continent.
This webinar carries 0.5 CPD points for eligible participants from Pakistan.
