T-SUM: Transitions to Sustainable Urban Mobility in Sub-Saharan Africa
Report / Paper
The paper initiated by Transitions to Sustainable Urban Mobility (T-SUM) provides a city profile of Freetown (Sierra Leone), identifying the base conditions for a transition towards more sustainable urban mobility. The city profile marks the first step to sustainable change, producing evidence-based knowledge for understanding the main drivers of current development trajectories and their influence on urban mobility, accessibility, as well as social and environmental issues in Freetown.
With a focus on the urban transport sector, the working paper aims to contribute to local and global discussions on sustainable mobility transitions.
