In several Latin American and Caribbean countries, the adoption of electric buses in public transport is part of the strategic effort to promote sustainable mobility and achieve emission reductions in the transport sector. Consequently, stakeholders face the challenge to quantify the impacts of electrification, not only to evaluate their mitigation potential; also, to facilitate their follow-up, financing, scaling, and replication.
This methodological guide based on a Colombian case study presents policymakers the most relevant activities when structuring a Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification scheme when considering the electrification of public transportations systems based on buses.
