On 22-23 July, MobiliseYourCity and the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative delivered a two-day training in Harare, Zimbabwe, on developing a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) using the MobiliseYourCity approach. 15 representatives from the City of Harare's Traffic and Transportation Department took part, ahead of developing the city's own SUMP with support from the GAP Fund. The training covered the SUMP cycle, evidence-based and participatory planning, paratransit reform, and alignment with the recently adopted Harare Master Plan. Participants also joined a city-to-city exchange with Mwanza, Tanzania, to learn from East African experience. Below you will find the materials used during the training.
