Transforming Transportation Forum 2026
Transforming Transportation, launched in 2003 and jointly hosted by the World Bank and the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, is the leading global conference focused on advancing transport solutions in developing countries that support both climate action and development priorities. It brings together a diverse community of changemakers — including policymakers, business leaders, researchers and advocates — all working to reshape the transport sector.
In a context marked by economic change, unexpected disruptions and the rapid expansion of AI, the 2026 edition will highlight how transport can drive inclusive development by creating jobs, strengthening resilience and ensuring access for all.
Transforming Transportation 2026 will take place as a week-long hybrid program, with partner meetings and side events happening throughout the week. It will combine in-person networking and high-level discussions with online participation, enabling the global community to join from anywhere.
The event will take place on March 10th–11th
