Expert Voices: Heather Thompson (ITDP) - Investing in the Future of Urban Mobility
In this session of Expert Voices, we will have an open conversation with Heather Thompson (ITDP) about the urgent need to rethink how public transport is funded and financed. Drawing on her international experience, we will explore how funding models could deliver inclusive, efficient, and climate-aligned transport systems through solutions emerging globally. From consolidating fare policies to innovative financing structures and fair cost-recovery strategies, we will examine how cities can ensure high-quality public transport that serves everyone, especially as they face growing demand, climate pressures and budget constraints.
Join us for 30 minutes of insight, inspiration, and practical ideas from someone working at the forefront of sustainable investment in urban mobility.
