Therefore, the transition to a decarbonisation path for the transport sector is essential to achieve the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement for 2050. The showcase at the COP 26 that the transformation for decarbonising transport is needed and possible, the NDC TIA project in collaboration others organise an hybrid event in the German Pavilion at the COP 26 in Glasgow. After an input on demonstrating tangible scenarios and interventions in the transport sector for reaching the 1.5 degrees Celsius goal by background studies, country representatives of Colombia, India and Uganda as well as the German Ministries BMU and BMZ will showcase approaches to decarbonising the transport sector for effective climate change and exchange on possibilities and challenges by country representatives for raising ambitious through NDC in the transport sector.
